Dogging or Blogging?

From Breitbart.com :
” A survey of British taxi drivers, pub landlords and hairdressers — often seen as barometers of popular trends — found that nearly 90 percent had no idea what a podcast is and more than 70 percent had never heard of blogging.
“When I asked the panel whether people were talking about blogging, they thought I meant dogging,” said Sarah Carter, the planning director at ad firm DDB London.”
Its true. I’d say about 20% of the people I know, who I still thought were e-savvy, knew what a Blog was.

Another classic from b3ta. Showing you just what the press feels about Kate Moss and Pete Doherty at the moment - build them up and then knock them down. This one was by the amazing Beau Bo d’Or.

Well I saw more protesters today, the unions (clothed) and pensioners (naked). I’m still waiting for my free newspapers but nobody seems to be handing them out this year, which I find outrageous as it was the only way I felt I benefitted from the conference coming to town. These photos were taken about an hour after Gordon Brown did his speech in the Brighton Centre.

It seemed less hectic down there than I thought it would be. Althought there’s still the presence of about 20 policemen (and women) with guns. I’ll take better pictures this week I promiss.

So Brighton is now locked down and there’s lots of armed police around. I even saw a battleship the other day. So I’ll be taking a few Conference photos over the next week and posting them here. The first is kind of for my Dad who was in the forklift truck industry for many a year:

*Dad, if you read this then feel free to click the comments button and tell us all what models these are.

Just watched an appalling episode of Miami Vice on the Men and Motors channel. The dialogue was awful and Tubbs’ acting was so poor. Don Johnson actually gave an alright performance for once, maybe it was him that made the show so successful. Its amazing at how much TV has changed in the 15 or so years since this was made. Miami Vice makes The Bill look revolutionary.
Oh, and there was Benicio Del Toro’s (star of Usual Suspects, Traffic, Sin City, 21 Grams etc..) first ever screen performance.

If only that can be the result this afternoon, as it was in the 1980 FA Cup Final.
But West Ham are playing well at the moment and I dont think anybody expected us to be second highest goal scorers and higher than Arsenal in the league. I’ll update with the score later. Wish the Hammers luck!
Update: Final score West Ham 0 - 0 Arsenal - That puts West Ham up into 3rd position, amazing!

I’ve been following the Cindy Sheehan story in the US for some time. Its good to see the polarisation of her supporters and detractors. Take a look at this FOX News deabte between Phil Donahue and Bill O’Reilly courtesy of Crooks and Liars. Probably the nearest thing to truth that has ever been seen on that channel.

The good folks down at b3ta.com are trying to design a new image for the USA.
I think this should be the new flag (by pecker)

This image by RobToo was clever:

I’ve been listening to an amazing Deep Rhythms mix on my mp3/phone recently and I’ve found its the perfect accompaniment to a stroll around Brighton. Its very atmosphereic and dubby Detroit house and techno set - yet it sounds more ambient than that would suggest.
Its a 63 minute mp3 so it’ll fit nicely on your mp3 players or a CD for your hifi. Get Mix 42 - Variable now!
