Well that was a superb series finale. And lucky Americans only have to wait a couple of weeks for the new season.
If you want to know a bit more about the series or were ever confused by characters in the flashbacks then it’s best to take a look at Lostpedia. But bear in mind that you’ll see spoilers there after October the 4th.
For something that isn’t spolierish in the sense that anyone in the world could see it before inbetween seasons 2 and 3 you can always check out all 70 segments of video available at the Lost Experience. This will explain a lot about the Hanso Foundation.

Yes, another rant.
I signed up to phone insurance last year when I bought my phone via The Carphone Warehouse. The cost was £30 for three months of insurance - a bit steep but it was my first contract phone and I was worried what might happen if I lost it. The commencement date was the 9th of August 2005 and I would be billed by Direct Debit quarterly.
A year later and my phone contract was up. Being relatively okay with paperwork I remembered to phone the insurance company on the 8th of August 2006 to cancel my insurance which they did. While I was on the phone I asked them to confirm they wouldn’t be taking a fifth quarterly payment (£30) as I’d only had the insurance for the one year. They told me that I’d paid £30 by direct debit just a week before on the 1st of August 2006 and so I asked them to refund it. I was told they would notify the credits department.
A month later and no credit has appeared on my bank account. I phoned them back to be told I never applied for a credit and that they probably wouldn’t be able to refund me. The man on the phone kept asking me about when I cancelled the phone contract even though I told him that it wasn’t relevant to my insurance problem. He also told me about my Direct Debit days being on the first day of the quarter. I told him that this wasn’t relevant either. And looking at my insurance confirmation it says that the Direct Debits would be taken “every three months commencing 9/11/05″.
I wanted 4 quarters of insurance, I HAD 4 quarters of insurance and yet you’ve taken 5 quarters out my bank. I have all the terms & conditions here and there is absolutely nothing about this. Just the fact that I want to pay quarterly. He had no answer. But would send the request to his line manager.
Today I got a response from an ‘administration team leader’ telling me that my ‘refund request’ has been unsuccessful. Ha! What a con. I didn’t really see it as a ‘request’, more of a ‘please pay me back my money you took from my account’ for services I never asked for. Apparently I can ‘appeal’!!! Well they’ll get their appeal alright the Shysters. Check the ‘comments’ out below later for my reply.

Well Kimberly-Clark, the makers of Andrex, have decided to shed a third (135) of it’s Brighton workforce. This isn’t great news of course and makes me wonder why this seems to happen to every company based at Trafalgar Place. It has a prison-like quality with those huge gates, maybe they think that some employers will strike back one day.
All the staff wear devices that you use to open doors but maybe they track movement too. And what are those strange plastic things in the ceiling? Yes, it the Big Brother house! It’s much easier to outsource the work after comprehensive ‘time and motion’ surveys. Err, allegedly.
Anyway, don’y buy Andrex, Charmin’s much better, and good luck to all the staff at Kimberly-Clark!
Oh, and here’s the trailer for the new 300 film by Frank Miller. Looks good.
And for a laugh. Here’s a Carry On Camping sketch from Shooting Stars:

This is quite facinating.

I finally took my PS2 down to GameStation to get some credit towards my new console. It’s called the Nintendo Wii and it’s out on the 8th of December. Retailing at £179.99 it comes with a remote control joystick/handset thing which will allow you to play games using the movement of your whole hand, not just your fingers. You can check out it’s latest promotional video here.

The new Borat movie has been doing the rounds at various film festivals around the world and the feedback has been good. As ever the Kazakhstan government is annoyed at Sasha Baron Cohen’s portrayal of one it’s national reporters. So annoyed that they’ll bring it up during discussion with President Bush next week.

From the Daily Mail: “President Nazarbayev will visit the White House and the Bush family compound in Maine when he flies in for talks that will include the fictional character Borat.”

Finally this video has appeared on You Tube. It’s one of my favourites. And it features quite a lot of dancing by his ex-girlfriend Darlene. Enjoy!

The Orb have a downloadable 60 minute mix available from their site, www.theorb.com. It’s got a few of their old classics as well as a Massive Attack mix and a little conversation with the Fast Show’s Simon Day. A blast from the past being kept up to date.
If that’s not your thing how about listening to the new Dave Gorman series on BBC Radio 4, Genius. Members of the public are allowed to have their brilliant ideas put open to the audience to see if they are indeed ‘genius’. Funny stuff.

This creature is normally found south of the Alps but for some reason this year they have been seen as far north as Finland.
