It’s been 28.5C in my flat for the last two days (and nights) and my poor PC just couldn’t take the strain. First in started turning itself off while I was using intense applications such as Photoshop and then it was happening every five minutes. The problem was overheating.

Running some tests I worked out that the CPU temperature was 64C everytime it shutdown. It must have been triggering the PC’s safety mechanism. What I really need is a better CPU heatsink and fan. My one just isn’t powerful enough. But I have temporarily solved the problem as you can see.

I’m now running at 49C – and my room feels much cooler.
